Detector Type MCPs

Detector type MCPs are used to amplify weak signals and determine position parameters of particles in a variety of image detectors, as part of photoelectronic and X-ray vacuum devices, field-ion microscopes, mass-spectrometers of various types.

Photomultiplier tubes (PMT) with detector type MCPs have the advantage of fast response and gain, increased surface area, low power consumption, and stable operation under the exposure to magnetic fields.
